Parliamentary committees
The committee is responsible for processing petitions and maintaining relations with the European Ombudsman. It plays a critical role in identifying issues with the implementation of EU law in Member States.
The EU Treaties ensure that all European citizens and residents have the right to write to the European Parliament regarding the problems they face in their daily lives, provided that these issues fall under the purview of the European Union.
As lawmakers, we should take advantage of the direct experiences of European citizens with EU law to enhance future legislation. Their feedback can provide valuable insights into how we can improve our work and better serve the needs of our constituents.
