The EU is a trade powerhouse encompassing one of the largest networks of trade agreements in the world. With 14% of global trade in goods coming from the EU and with 38 million European jobs depending on EU exports, the importance of trade agreements cannot be overstated.
The EPP Group believes free trade has improved living standards and reduced poverty both in the EU and around the world. Allowing EU consumers to save around €600 a year, while championing environmental, societal and health standards with our trading partners.
With further strategic free trade agreements with likeminded partners, we can ensure that EU companies and SMEs succeed in the world, allowing them the opportunity to grow and bolster the European economy, but not at the expense of our trading partners.
