EU Commission Vice-President to meet Maltese businesses

European Commissioner Vice-President responsible for Jobs, Growth, Investment and Competitiveness Jyrki Katainen will join MEP Roberta Metsola in addressing a Business Breakfast she is organising for Maltese and Gozitan business leaders, stakeholders and representatives of the industry.
Announcing the event, MEP Metsola said: “I thank Vice-President Katainen for accepting my invitiation. This is an opportunity for all Maltese and Gozitan stakeholders and business leaders to discuss the main challenges that they find in accessing European funding and the realties of running a enterprise in our country. This is also an opportunity for the European Commission to have a first-hand account of the particular concerns faced by Maltese stakeholders to ensure these are taken into account in the next financing cycle.”
The Business Breakfast, entitled “Bringing Europe’s Investment Plan to SMEs and industry in Malta” will be held on Tuesday 5 March 2019 at 0830hrs at the Excelsior Hotel in Floriana. Besides speeches by the Commission’s Vice President and MEP Metsola, the event will also include a Q&A session between the participants and Commissioner Katainen.
