Fit to hit the road?
A new European Parliament Transport Committee compromise vote calls for greater road safety through more harmonised and thorough checks of cars and trailers and will attempt to scrutinise motorcycles more closely in future. Parliamentary Rapporteur and German EPP Group MEP Werner Kuhn says he is content with the result although getting regular motorcycle inspections remains as elusive as it is key.
