Boosting economic and social cohesion in the EU

Translation
Select language:

The European Union aims to reduce economic and social disparities between different regions across the EU through its cohesion policy.

From 2014 to 2020, nearly one third of the EU’s budget was allocated to spending on this policy. Negotiations about the future size and make-up of the EU’s overall budget from 2021 to 2027 are in full swing.

MEPs at an EPP Group hearing debated what the EU’s cohesion policy should look like after 2020.
