Engineer, Aviation Faculty, Bucharest Polytechnical Institute, 1976. 1992, member of Democratic Party - Regional Secretary of National Bureau (2001-2005), President of National Committee for Statute. Member in Craiova Municipal Council 1992-1996. Prefect, Dolj County 1996-2000. Member in Dolj County Council - 2004. Deputy in Romanian Parliament since 2004, member of Committee for Public Administration and of Committee for European Integration. Engineer at AVIOANE SA Craiova 1976-1984. 1984-1991, Bucharest Aviation Institute, Craiova Branch Manager, 1991-1996. 2000-2004-Aircraft Design and Consulting Centre Craiova - General Manager. Observer since 2005. Head of Delegation. Vice-president of the EPP-ED Group. MEP since 2007.
