Born in 1963. Islands (Sardegna, Sicilia). Degree in "Agricultural Sciences", University of Catania, 1985. Agronomist, 1986. Internship study at University of Saragoza and INRA in Montpellier,1985.PhD in Agricultural Economics and Policy, 1988.Researcher,1989.Professor of"Economics and Management of agrofood enterprise"at University of Catania,1993.Assessor for Agriculture and Forestry of Sicilian Region,2006-2009.Coordinator of several European research programs in Sicily (Sprint, Ritts, Fair, etc.)and author of numerous scientific papers on food and agricultural system.Member of the following scientific associations:SIDEA,SIEA,CeSET and EAAE. MEP since 2009.
