EPP Group pays homage to its former MEP Vasco Graça Moura

The Chairman of the EPP Group, Joseph Daul, has sent his condolences to the family of Vasco Graça Moura, Portuguese poet, translator of major poetry works and politician, and former MEP of the EPP Group:

"On behalf of the EPP political family, I wish to convey my sincere condolences to the family, friends and the Portuguese Government on the death of Vasco Graça Moura, prominent poet, politician and great intellectual of the 21st century.

As a politician, his comittment to promoting our common values through culture represents a source of inspiration for the European project. As a renowned poet, Vasco Graça Moura has left us a prolific legacy and a unique contribution to Portuguese and European literature. His vision was to transform everything into literature. His work represents a valuable testimony for all Europeans."
