The EU must update digital laws to boost European business and protect consumers

The EU's proposed laws regulating digital commerce must be strong enough to ensure a level playing field for all businesses large and small, and protect consumer rights and privacy.

The legislation, called the Digital Markets Act and the Digital Services Act, is aimed at fighting illegal content while protecting fundamental rights.

It aims to ensure that Small and Medium-sized Enterprises can also thrive and innovate in Europe's digital transition. An EPP Group meeting with national parliamentarians aims to build support for the legislation.
