Members of the European Parliament this week debated the new Polish government’s policies towards the judiciary and the media, questioning whether the actions were democratic. They debated the Netherlands’ plans to tackle migration and job-creation during its rotating EU Presidency. And they criticised the new Paris climate accord with EPP Group MEP Peter Liese urging action to rein in CO2 in other sectors, including in the airline industry.
