EU spending must be fair and transparent
The EPP Group says the distribution of EU funds must be fair and transparent. MEPs from the Committee on Budgetary Control (CONT) are passing their verdict on how the EU Budget for 2018 has been managed. The EPP Group says three issues stood out: Criminals benefitting from EU farm subsidies in Italy, transparency with NGOs and conflicts of interest.
