The new head of a European Parliament special committee probing the Panama Papers revelations says he aims in part to address public outrage - expressed, for example, in the recent Brexit referendum - against tax evasion by the 'moneyed elite'. The EPP Group's Werner Langen, elected to chair the committee, says he hopes the panel will complete the probe and propose action within its 12-month mandate, but that it is "not a lot of time" and could be extended.
