The Greek Delegation in the EPP Group strongly condemns the terrorist attacks against the head of the EU task force for Greece, Horst Reichenbach, whose car has been destroyed in an apparent arson attack and bags of paint were also thrown at his house in Berlin.

These profoundly undemocratic actions turn directly against Greece and the sacrifices made by the Greek people in their effort to get out of this unprecedented economic crisis the soonest possible.

Mr. Reichenbach is on a European mission, providing valuable technical assistance in the use of EU resources and the modernization of Greek public services in order to boost growth. We fully support him to these efforts.

Those responsible for this attack should be identified and brought before the German justice without delay.
