Glass is half full, but more reforms needed, EPP Group president says
In a year-end interview, the president of the EPP Group, Joseph Daul, says measures against the financial and economic crisis were late in coming, are beginning to have a positive effect and that more are needed. He welcomes EPP Group-backed measures to cut roaming charges and establish a Europe-wide patent as steps toward a more effective single market. And he notes the danger of populist and nationalist parties ahead of the 2014 European Parliament elections.
