EU to introduce new emissions tests
At a European Parliament hearing, MEPs discussed new rules for pollution tests for vehicles made in the EU with experts and stakeholders.Françoise Grossetête MEP stressed the need to have reliable, relevant and independent tests and said the European Parliament will be vigilant about the quality of the tests.She was optimistic that the new tests will help prevent another Volkswagen-type scandal.
