All European Commission candidates now nominated

All 28 Member States have now nominated their European Commissioner candidates. Apart from Jean-Claude Juncker (Luxembourg) who was put forward for President of the European Commission by the EU Heads of State and Government respecting the result of the European Elections, and subsequently elected by the European Parliament, here are the 27 potential Members of the next European Commission:

Germany: Günther Oettinger (EPP), Digital Economy & Society

France: Pierre Moscovici (S&D), Economic and Financial Affairs, Taxation and Customs

UK: Lord Jonathan Hill (ECR), Financial Stability, Financial Services & Capital Markets Union

Italy: Federica Mogherini (S&D), High Representative of the Union for Foreign Policy and Security Policy

Spain: Miguel Arias Cañete MEP (EPP), Climate Action & Energy

Poland: Elżbieta Bieńkowska (EPP), Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship & SMEs

Romania: Corina Creţu MEP (S&D), Regional Policy

The Netherlands: Frans Timmermans (S&D), Better Regulation, Inter-Institutional Relations, Rule of Law & Charter of Fundamental Rights

Belgium: Marianne Thyssen MEP (EPP), Employment, Social Affairs, Skills & Labour Mobility

Greece: Dimitris Avramopoulos (EPP), Migration & Home Affairs
