President of the Association for the Promotion of Women of Europe (Brussels). Founder and President of the European Centre for Communication and Information (Athens). Member of the Executive Board of the European Centre of Culture (Geneva). Former Vice-President of the EPP-ED Working Group E. Former EPP-ED Coordinator for the Committee for Women’s Rights and Equal Opportunities. She has been honoured for her European work by international and European organisations and she has been decorated by the President of the French Republic with the Order of the Legion of Honour. MEP since 2009.
