At the European Parliament’s latest plenary, following the latest round of Brexit talks, MEPs and EU officials discussed preparing for a ‘no deal’ scenario. MEPs backed EU Member States’ decision to cut pre-accession funds to Turkey but want further cuts.

In votes, they approved funding for free Interrail tickets for young Europeans, agreed to introduce an electronic entry-exit system to replace manual passport checks and backed an EPP Group report to improve EU rules for workers temporarily posted abroad. MEPs will now negotiate the finer details of an amended EU law for posted workers with EU Member States.
