Today, the European Parliament’s Agriculture and Rural Development Committee questioned the Polish Commissioner-designate for the agriculture portfolio Janusz Wojciechowski for the second time. He did not provide enough information to declare the hearing process closed at his first hearing.
“Overall, the candidate was much better than at the first hearing. Wojciechowski answered the questions. He was much more committed and much more prepared”, said Herbert Dorfmann MEP, EPP Group Spokesman in the Agriculture and Rural Development Committee. “For sure, some doubts remain within our political group, but this was definitely a completely different performance compared to the first hearing we had last week”, concluded Dorfmann.
The EPP Group is the largest political group in the European Parliament with 182 Members from 26 Member States
