Invitation: EPP Group Press Briefing on Migration, Monday 30 January at 16:45

Jeroen Lenaers MEP, EPP Group Spokesman in the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs, invites you to a press briefing on the “Preparation of the Special European Council meeting of February, in particular the need to develop sustainable solutions in the area of asylum and migration”, which will be debated during the next plenary session of the European Parliament on 1 February.

The briefing will take place on Monday, 30 January at 16:45 in room SPINELLI 5F385 (new room!) in the European Parliament.

The Special European Council Summit will take place on 9 and 10 February. As part of the agenda, EU Heads of State and Government will assess, in particular, the need to come up with viable solutions in the area of asylum and migration.

The EPP Group asks for an in-depth and comprehensive debate on the migratory challenges, warning that Europe is probably sleepwalking into a new migration crisis.
