James and Vicki’s story: a plea for a strong European Care Strategy

Marking this year’s European Carers Day, Vicki Casserly and her son James travelled from Ireland to take the message of millions of Europeans of the need for a European Care Strategy.  In a wheelchair and living with cerebral palsy, James has depended on his mother for the care he needed to develop and become more independent. The EPP Group’s Frances Fitzgerald, and Vicki, say more support is needed to care for the carer, especially as Europe’s population ages.
