Securing Europe's Digital and Industrial Future – a hearing on the Cloud and AI Development Act (CADA) and Chips Act 2.0

A Hearing on the Cloud and AI Development Act (CADA) and Chips Act 2.0

This hearing will bring together Members of the European Parliament, representatives of the European institutions and key industry stakeholders to discuss how Europe can strengthen its technological sovereignty and competitiveness in semiconductors, cloud computing and artificial intelligence. Intensifying global competition, persistent supply chain vulnerabilities and Europe’s continued dependence on non-European providers for critical digital infrastructure have underscored the urgency of building a resilient, sovereign and globally competitive European digital and industrial base. Against this backdrop, the hearing will examine the Chips Act 2.0 and the Cloud and AI Development Act through two dedicated panel discussions. The first will focus on securing Europe’s position in the global semiconductor value chain and the second will address how to scale up European cloud and AI infrastructure. The hearing will also contribute to ongoing parliamentary work on both legislative initiatives.

MEPs Pilar del Castillo, Oliver Schenk and Andreas Schwab co-host this EPP hearing.

Please register by Friday, 13 November, COB through the subscription link.

We look forward to welcoming you and to exchanging views on Europe's digital and industrial future.
