Greece: Attacks against the head of EU task force for Greece strongly condemned

The Chairman of the EPP Group, Joseph Daul strongly condemns the recent attacks against the head of the EU task force for Greece, Horst Reichenbach, whose car has been destroyed in an apparent arson attack and bags of paint were also thrown at his house in Berlin. According to news reports, an unknown group calling itself "Loukanikos" has claimed responsibility for the attacks.

“I strongly condemn these kinds of cowardly attacks. The head of the EU task force for Greece has the delicate mission to transpose European solidarity into practice for the benefit of the Greek people. We stand by him and support his mission in Greece. I hope those who are responsible for these attacks will be soon brought to justice.”
