An EU-Africa summit to create jobs and transition to greener economies through cooperation
This year’s EU-African Union summit on 17-18 February should aim to boost business and job creation by transitioning the continent to greener and more digital economies through a closer partnership, say EPP Group Members of the European Parliament. Like supporting more jobs and training to protect forests and wildlife and boost tourism, more education to upskill youth for the digital economy, and to improve farming techniques. And encouraging better governance and respect for human rights, making the EU-Africa relationship a mutual two-way street.
