Chairman of Gdansk Board and member of the National Council of Kongres Liberalno-Demokratyczny (Liberal Democratic Congress), 1993. Secretary of the Regional Board of Unia Wolności (Union of Freedom), 1997-2000. Member of the National Council for European Integration by Prime Minister of Poland, 1997-2005. Deputy to the Secretary General of PO, 2003–2004. Deputy Chairman of Regional Board of PO in Gdansk, 2006. Member of the presidential election team of Donald Tusk, 2005.
