Member of the European Parliament since 1994. Chairwoman of The European Alliance Against Alzheimer. Regional Councillor at the Regional Council of Rhône-Alpes. Municipal councillor then Deputy Mayor of Saint-Etienne (1983-2008). Chairwoman of the Pilat Regional Natural Park (1989-2008). Elected Member of "Les Républicains" political bureau and National Secretary of the party. "Les Républicains" Representative in the European People's Party bureau. MEP since 1994. Vice-chair of the EPP Group.
