Spokesperson of the Spanish Delegation to the EPP-ED Group in the European Parliament, 1997 to 1999. Personal adviser of José María Aznar, former Spanish Prime Minister (1999-2002). Secretary General, European People’s Party (EPP) (2002-2022). Executive Secretary, International Center Democrat (CDI). Executive-Secretary of Fondation d’ Etudes Européennes.
