EPP Group debates the causes of populism and how to counter it

During a conference entitled “The Perverse Charm of Populism,” the EPP Group debated what populism is, its roots and how to counter it.

Participants set out their analyses of this trend - which we are currently facing all over the world - and EPP Group MEPs insisted on how populist narratives need to be countered more effectively by addressing people’s real fears and needs.
