MEPs quiz candidate to be next ECB President
Christine Lagarde, who has been the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund since 2011, has been nominated as candidate to take over from Mario Draghi as President of the European Central Bank.
She was quizzed by MEPs at a hearing in the European Parliament’s Economic and Monetary Affairs Committee.
The EPP Group’s Spokesman on the committee, Markus Ferber, was among the MEPs.
