Inauguration of the Jože Pučnik Room in the European Parliament

At the end of June, a room in the European Parliament (ASP 5E3) was named after a father of Slovenian democracy, Jože Pučnik. The inauguration was organised on the initiative of Milan Zver, Head of the Slovenian Delegation of the EPP Group, amongst others and took place in the presence of Antonio Tajani, President of the European Parliament, Manfred Weber, EPP Group Chairman, Janez Janša, SDS Chairman and former Prime Minister of Slovenia, and Borut Pahor, President of Slovenia.

Jože Pučnik paved the way to Slovenian independence. As a father of Slovenian Democracy and a true Christian Democrat, he will now forever be remembered alongside other great European names.
