EU electricity market: more competition to the benefit of consumers

Krišjānis Kariņš, EPP Group MEP and Rapporteur of the Internal Market for Electricity Report voted today in the Industry Committee, says that removing market barriers and moving  towards open competition means more choice for the consumer.

He insists  that the aim of getting competition into play means better prices in the end and a better service than in a strictly regulated and subsided market.
