Casa meets Belgian Royal Family

Today, the European Parliament Quaestor David Casa has paid a courtesy visit to the King and Queen of Belgium. He had been invited as a Member of the European Parliament Bureau for the beginning of the new year.

Many of the EU's institutions are housed in and around the Belgian capital, Brussels and by virtue of this, many EU officials live and work in Brussels and other Belgian towns and cities. For this reason there is a very particular and strong relationship between the EU and the Belgian state. Following the meeting with the Royals MEP Casa stressed the importance of the EU which as a multilateral body serves as a beacon of stability in such a changing and at times, unpredictable world.
