Born in 1974 in the town of Malmédy, Belgium. He represents the German-speaking community in Belgium. He graduated in Classical Philology at the University of Liège, European Studies at the RWTH Aachen, and Law at the University of Louvain-La-Neuve between 1996-2002.
He as a Parliamentary Assistant in the European Parliament from 1998-2002. He did internships at law firms in Brussels and Sankt Vith between 2002-2006. He is a lawyer and partner in the law firm ‘Melotte, Veiders & Arimont’. He was a Member of the Provincial Council of Liège from 2006-2009 and Member of the Parliament of the German-speaking community in Belgium from 2009-2014.
