Doctorate (Dr. jur.), Faculty of Law, University of Tübingen. Degree in Law, Faculty of Law and Economic Sciences, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Fellow of Centre of International and European Economic Law. Responsible for editing the “Revue Hellénique de Droit Européen”, 1982-1989. Deputy Minister for National Economy (1990) and for Foreign Affairs (1990-1993). Member of the Greek Parliament, 1989-1996. Author of a large number of works on European and International Affairs with a rich experience in teaching and research. MEP since 2004.
