Zij interpreteert ook het internationaal recht voor zover dit de Europese Unie betreft. Tot haar overige voorrechten behoren het goedkeuren van maatregelen betreffende justitiële en administratieve samenwerking in burgerzaken en de behandeling van kwesties betreffende de aansprakelijkheid voor milieuschade en sancties wegens milieudelicten.
