Über:

Der Ausschuss für bürgerliche Freiheiten, Justiz und Inneres ist zuständig für den Schutz der in den Verträgen und in der Charta der Grundrechte der Europäischen Union verankerten Bürger-, Menschen- und Grundrechte, einschließlich des Schutzes der Minderheiten, innerhalb der Union. Er ist auch mit dem Schutz personenbezogener Daten betraut. Außerdem beschäftigt er sich mit Einwanderungs- und Asylvorschriften, mit der integrierten Verwaltung gemeinsamer Grenzen und mit der Zusammenarbeit von Polizei und Justiz in strafrechtlichen Angelegenheiten.
