02/12/2009José Manuel Fernandes MEP appointed EPP Permanent Rapporteur for EU Budget on Climate Change
José Manuel Fernandes MEP, Member of the Committee on Budgets and the Committee on Environment, Public Health and Food Safety, was today appointed by the EPP Group, the largest political Group in the European Parliament, as the EPP permanent Rapporteur for all issues relating to Climate Change to be dealt with by the Committee on Budgets. José Manuel Fernandes MEP, who was also EPP Rapporteur for the 2010 Budget, will therefore coordinate issues relating to the budget on climate change within the EPP Group.
According to the Portuguese MEP, working in both Committees on Environment, Public Health and Food Safety and on Budgets allows him to "build bridges and recognise the needs of a key area of European and world policy, such as Climate Change."
