EPP Group Hearing on Republic of Moldova: one year since the pro-European shift

The Hearing looked at the political, socio-economic and foreign affairs situation in the Republic of Moldova, the challenges faced by the country on its European path, and its relations with the European Union. Furthermore, the Hearing explored clear strategies for supporting the democratic reforms in the Republic of Moldova. Considering the role of the European Parliament in supporting the Republic of Moldova on its European path, the Hearing provided all the stakeholders, including the Members of the European Parliament, the European Commission, and the media with first-hand information from decision-makers and experts in a vivid debate.

Following Prime Minister Vlad Filat's speech, a panel discussion took place. The panel included the European Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy, the Republic of Moldova's Minister for Foreign Affairs, Iurie Leanca, Members of the European Parliament and experts.
