About

The Committee on Development is responsible for the promotion of the EU's development policy. It engages in political dialogue with developing countries, bilaterally and in the relevant international organisations and interparliamentary fora, it is responsible for aid, as well as cooperation agreements with developing countries, it promotes democratic values, good governance and human rights in developing countries. It is very involved in the work of the Parliamentary Assembly between the EU and the African, Caribbean and Pacific countries.
