A joint parliamentary meeting of MEPs and Members of national parliaments takes place in Brussels on 10-11 September. The EPP-ED Group will participate and discuss the issues of migration and integration in Europe.
Members of the European Parliament and of the national parliaments of the member countries of the European Union and candidate countries will gather to debate three main topics:
  • What type of legal immigration and which path to successful integration in the European Union?
  • Which European policy on illegal immigration?
  • Asylum in Europe: Which common policy?
The JPM will also include debates with the European Commission and the French Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

The meeting will be preceded by a family meeting of EPP-ED Members of the European Parliament and members of national parliaments belonging to EPP-ED sister parties, hosted by Vito Bonsignore (Italy), Vice-Chairman of the EPP-ED Group responsible for relations with parliamentary groups in national parliaments. Patrick Gaubert MEP (France) will chair the working group on the path to successful integration in the European Union.
